Worship
Service Tech Team, Sound To
provide technical support to the various ministers and ministries that participate
in worship services and other programs, enabling them to "make their message clear."
To enhance the worship service experience by amplifying the spoken word, music
and drama, so that each person in attendance is able to clearly hear what is said
and sung. Prior
experience in running sound equipment is helpful, but not required. A "good ear"
-- especially as it relates to music -- is more important than technical background.
Members of the Sound Tech Team will receive hands-on training in
the use of the sound system, including sound boards, amplifiers, cassette recorders,
chords, patches, monitors, speakers, etc. Each team member who exhibits proficiency
in the use of the equipment will be able to join the "rotation" of team members
who will run the system during worship services and other events.
Those
who will work each Sunday are responsible for preparing with the Worship (Music)
Team(s) during their mid-week rehearsal, and immediately prior to their assigned
service.
The
Sound Tech Team may also be called upon to assist with other events to be held
during the week, if that event is recognized as a ministry of the congregation.
