Meet Joy's Missionary Family

Dr. Mamy and Noelisoa Ranaivoson are our missionary family. He is a medical doctor, originally from Madagascar. He has studied with the ELCA in Baltimore and is currently a health consultant across Africa. They live in Kenya with their 5 children.

How is Joy! helping the Ranaivoson Family?
Together we will hold Mamy and Noelisoa in our hearts and prayers on a regular basis. We will also be supporting their work financially.

How can I help?
If God is calling you to support the work of the Ranaivoson Family, we would encourage you to pray for them daily. Their prayer concerns include:

• Pray for continued good health and particularly for protection against malaria
• Pray for our extended family as we are separated from them
• Pray for patience as we adjust to the cultural differences that we do not become discouraged
• Pray for our relationships with our Tanzanian colleagues and that we will have the opportunity to become trusted colleagues

In addition, you can provide financial support through weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual giving. You may do that as individuals, families, as small groups - however you feel called. If you’re a member at Joy, simply use your giving envelope marked “missionary fund” and put your offering in the offering plate at worship. If you’re not a member at Joy, make your check payable to Joy Lutheran Church and mail it to us at 749 South Hunt Club Road, Gurnee, Illinois 60031. Please mark “The Ranaivoson Family” in the memo section of the check. 100% of your gift goes straight to their ministry.
