Founded in 1973, PFLAG prides itself on being the “first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies.” There are over 400 chapters spread throughout all 50 states and more than 200,000 members to support each other. Publishers of the yearly Accelerating Acceptance Report and leading the conversation of acceptance. SAGE (Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders) :
SAGE provides resources and support for elders in the LGBTQ+ Community. Allowing for opportunities to stay involved, and providing support for seniors living alone, SAGE advocates to improve the lives of older people in the LGBTQ+ community. Pairing with the Human Rights Campaign, they helped found the Long Term Care Equality Index (LEI), helping to provide resources and access to Long-Term Care facilities for the elderly.
