Upcoming Sermon Series:
Has someone ever told you their story, and it left you speechless? Maybe it left you in tears? And then there is that story that had such an impact on you, you keep replaying it over and over in your mind. People love stories. People love telling them and hearing them. When someone shares a story of their life, it is as if they are handing you something of great worth and value. Nothing beats a wonderful story. And the best stories are authentic stories. Fact, not fiction. Authentic stories of moments in our lives that were transformative. I believe that we all have faith stories of what God has done in our lives. Stories highlighting the ways God has kept His promise to us. The stories that tell of how God’s story intersected our story have the power to change us. Give us hope and peace and courage in times of despair. Like the time we experienced God’s mercy, and grace, and peace, and power, and unconditional love. And it is important that we remember those stories and can tell them well, spoken from our heart. Because they are the stories God invites us to share with people who need to know God is real and present. When we share how God’s story intersected our story, we help people discover their new story. There is power in knowing more about each other and finding that common link in our stories so that God’s kingdom can be unleashed. Each of our stories matter, in God’s never-ending story.
