Kids Adventure Klub (aka Sunday School)
Children 3 year old thru 5th Grade
Offered on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 & 10:30 September through May 20th.
Children begin in worship with their parents. After the children's message children will meet their teachers in the lobby and go to the classroom.
We are so excited to be a part of your child’s faith journey at Joy! All kids are welcomed with open arms and hearts. We think that learning about God is the greatest adventure that your child will embark upon! Thus, we feel privileged to come beside parents and guardians to make spiritual learning fun and provide helpful ways to continue the learning at home.
What does my child experience?
On any given Sunday, your child will be greeted by one of the classroom “Guides.” The Guides are volunteers who will be with the students all year long. The activities we use on a regular basis are Bible Stories, Crafts, Science, Games and Cinema. Each week at check-in parents will receive a "Parent Connect / Make It Stick / Grapple" handout that tells a little about the bible lesson of the week and gives you conversation points and activities to do during the week to continue with the lesson at home.

2018-2019 Curriculum Information
September through March
- This Fall we will be covering bible stories from the Old Testament books of Exodus, Numbers and Joshua. Some of the things we will learn about are the parting of the Red Sea, the Ten Commandments, a talking donkey and a victory in Jericho. Concepts include topics like God helps us when we're afraid, be brave for God and God's power works for good.
- We will have a couple cinema Sundays.
- December 16th – Children’s Christmas Program/Family Worship/Breakfast. No Kids' Adventure Klub.
- December 23rd & 30th and January 6th - Winter Break, No Kids' Adventure Klub.
- Classes resume January 13th.
- This winter we will be covering bible stores from the New Testament. From when Jesus is born through His miracles and various teachings. Concepts will include we can trust God, Jesus cares about my problems and Jesus teaches how to be a good friend.
- We will have 1 service at 9:45 on February 17th with our Soup and Chili Challenge following worship. Children are welcome to go to class and watch a movie.
