What are your service times?
We offer worship services at 9:00 & 10:30 am every Sunday that features predominantly contemporary music with a lively, Bible-based sermon. Our service is online at 9:00 am via Livestream or can be watched later on Facebook or YouTube.
Will I be welcomed?
Joy! intentionally welcomes and includes all people fully into the faith community, regardless of lifestyle, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, race, ethnicity, religious background/journey, physical or mental ability, education, socioeconomic or marital status, age, and political affiliation.
What if I come from a different faith background?
You are welcome at Joy! Some people here grew up in Lutheran, Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, or other religions; some grew up without any church background. All are welcome at Joy! Lutheran Church. We encourage you to worship with us and see if we’re the right fit for you.
Do I have to dress up?
You can dress casually! Most people attending Joy! wear casual, comfortable clothing, but should you choose to dress up a little more, you will certainly not feel out of place!
What can I expect when I walk in the door?
You will be greeted with a smile and can choose to check in at the Information Center and gather some basic info about Joy! and a free GIFT! Otherwise we encourage you to enter our Connections Café where you can meet some new friends or simply pass through and grab a cup of coffee and a sweet treat and take that into our worship area.
How often do you offer communion?
Every time we gather for worship we offer the Lord's Supper as a reminder of God's love and forgiveness. All are welcome to come forward to share in the meal. A gluten- free option is also available.
What do I do with my children when I visit?
If you have a child age 5 & under, we offer free nursery care with paid staff supervising the room and loving on the little ones. If your child is in K-5th grade we currently offer Kids Klub (our children's Sunday School program) at the 10:30 am service from September through May. We ask children to worship with their families along with a take home Activity Bag or our Table Talk newsletter that they can follow along with at home.
My children are in middle/high school. Where do they connect?
We have a large, active youth program at Joy! Our middle school and high school youth groups meet every Sunday, September through May, at 11:45 am in the Youth Zone after worship. We also offer a variety of mission oriented trips and opportunities for teens to serve together during the year. For more information, please contact Mark Borgetti @ [email protected].
Do I need to be a member to have my child baptized?
No. Jesus told us to baptize all people, so we do!
Do we baptize adults?
Yes! Jesus told us to baptize all people—no age requirements or age limits.
Will you perform same-sex/same-gender marriages in your facility?
Yes! We welcome all LGBTQIA+ couples into our congregation, however you identify, and we have clergy that are pleased to perform your marriages inside or outside of our church building.
How do I connect as an adult beyond a Sunday morning?
Joy! values relationships therefore we encourage people to get connected to a small group or serving opportunity. There are a variety of small groups offered at Joy! where people can deepen their relationship with Christ and one another while serving others in the community.
