Worship

Worship is any act, corporate or private, that intentionally honors God 
in some meaningful way. We gather corporately each week to praise 
God in song, scripture, prayer, teaching, and sacraments. By purposely 
following Jesus’ teachings and examples in our everyday lives, we honor 
God in our hearts. By doing so, we are more in tune with the Holy Spirit 
and can live with confidence and joy. Worship is a daily activity; it is 
not simply a service we attend on Sunday mornings.

• Read scripture references from the message in your Bible
  
• Have a conversation with God
  
• Sing praises to God
  
• Get outside and reflect on God’s wonder of creation
  
• Create margin in your daily schedule
  
• Attend weekly worship with your community of faith
  
• Say Grace before meals
  
• Respond to God’s love by sharing that love with others
  
• Make a list of daily blessings
  
• Turn off all electronics for a day and allow God to fill the silence
  
• Listen to K-Love 
  

Oh sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!

Is there a right way to worship?  When a woman asked Jesus about different ways of worshiping, Jesus replied, "A time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth" (John 4:23, NIV).
